Rhenium (Re) is widely used in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer due to its unique physical and chemical properties. Various 188Re-labeled radiopharmaceuticals are being used for different types of cancer treatment, and new radiopharmaceuticals are being developed. However, the high expected investment and inherent drawbacks of radiotherapy limit its development.
